Make sure that you clean up fallen pine needles around your tree regularly. If eaten, these needles can puncture your pet’s intestines. Make sure your tree is well secured for your pets, for people and for your delicate décor. You can anchor your tree to the wall, using strong cord or rope. Join the Humane Society of Harrisburg for the Annual Penguin Plunge! This year’s Plunge will be held on Wednesday, January 1, 2014! Event registration begins at 10 AM and the Plunge jumps off at noon. Join hundreds of HSHA supporters as they “take the plunge” for homeless animals on New Year’s Day at City Island, Beach Area, Harrisburg, PA. Individuals who raise over $75 will receive an event towel. For teams to receive towels, each member must raise at least $75. For more information, contact Susan at email@example.com

The Havestick Gallery is seeking artist’s submissions for an exhibition themed around animals to help benefit needy animals during the holiday season. HSHA will receive a portion from the proceeds. Artists should deliver their work to The Garden Gallery at 10 N Hanover Street, Carlisle. The show will open on Saturday, December 7.
