Our In-Patient Care in Harrisburg

Supporting Pets in Dauphin County

In-patient care for pets is extremely important to us at the Animal Hospital of Dauphin County. Sometimes certain health problems or soft –tissue surgeries may require your pet to stay overnight at our hospital to receive top-notch in-patient care. During this time, our veterinarians and veterinary technicians will closely monitor your pet’s health. During in-patient care for your pet, appropriate treatments and medications will be given to your pet and our veterinary team can administer and medications, antibiotics or fluid your pet may need.

During in-patient care, your pet will also receive the best accommodations and personal attention. Pets will wake to warm smiling faces, will be fed and talked to and will be taken for walks if needed. We know that in-patient care for pets can be a little stressful for your fur babies. You can rest assured that our veterinary team will put them at ease and provide them with the loving care you’d expect.

I love this place it is great that they have a cat and a dog side no wait very quick within and out service
The staff is great from the front desk to the to the doctor. Everyone is professional and willing to help and answer any questions you may have. Dr. Fletcher is an animal lover not only a vet. She was on the floor with our dog and took her time to explain everything we needed to know. It is a very busy office, but they are timely with their appointments. He ended up have surgery there, and everything from drop off to pick up went well.
I would recommend them for dogs, cats and things like that. Birds, not so much which is what my friend took there.
I highly recommend Dr. Balmer! She was kind and knowledgeable. If you’re looking for a good exotic vet this is the place to go. Weezy thanks all of the staff at Dauphin County Animal Hospital!
