Bio

Dr. Whitney Wolfgang joined the Animal Hospital of Dauphin County in June 2016. Growing up in Hummelstown, PA, Dr. Wolfgang always knew she wanted to work with animals in some capacity. Early in her college career, she fell in love with veterinary medicine. She graduated from Towson University in Maryland with a dual degree in Biology and Animal Behavior. She traveled to South Africa for a veterinary experience with local community outreach and wildlife veterinary medicine.

Dr. Wolfgang earned her veterinary degree from Purdue University. Her 3 off-campus rotations included: one in Italy with a veterinary surgeon at a 24-hour emergency clinic, one with an oral surgeon in Maryland, and finally one at Animal Hospital of Dauphin County, where she became part of the AHDC family.

Dr. Wolfgang loves working with pet’s families to develop a weight loss plan that fits for their lifestyle. She has her VMX Pet Nutrition Coach certificate & VetGirl Nutrition Certificate. She is Fear Free Certified and works with many families on managing anxiety both in and out of the clinic. Her other passions include dentistry, wound management, and chronic pain management. She holds the lead veterinarian role at the Linglestown office since the merge in June 2021.

She currently lives in Palmyra with her high school sweetheart, her son (Pierson, born in Nov 2019), and her two cats (Mustache [pictured] and Macy). In her free-time, Dr. Wolfgang enjoys vinyasa yoga, game nights with friends and family, cooking healthy, spending time outside and watching Netflix after dark.
